My name is Balema Chrisastom founder of helping hand for helpless. This is my story about me! As I was born in a poor family my family was of six children and am the only boy in my family, my mother was died on their way when was going to hospital to deliver a new baby by that time my mother was carrying a baby of nine months. Due to our poor road and the long distance from our village to hospital led my mother to lose life and end up dying, by that time my father had our bicycle but he tried his best to save the life of my mother, he had to transport her to the hospital but on the way going my mother died. She was very weak due to long distance and the baby died my mother lose so much blood and died. My time of struggle in the world started from the loss of a mother in my young age. By that time I was 6 years old we left with father, my father was a poor man but was are hard working father to their children he tried to take care of us all as a single father. He also tried his best to pay for us school fees but he doesn't afford all the requirements needed by the school, and we reached at the point that my father can't afford to pay for us school fees and we were to stay at home. By that time I was at the age of 13 years old I started looking for what to do yet I was still young my mind went out to street, I started to collect (skullcap) old metal and plastic and I sell out to people, I was on street I wasn't have were to sleep, what to eat and even clothes I was wearing dirty cloth, and I used to sleep on street with other children I found there. We had no food we eat on leftovers in dust bin in my young age I was, when my daddy heard about that, that I went to street he came and pick me and take me back home but it was no different, the situation was the same. I found my daddy started to drink a lot of alcohol was very drinking men by that time he used to tell me that their is no hope because he lost her wife. I started to lose hope again from my daddy again and I went back to the street because I found all my sister got married at the young age forced me to leave home again and I go to street. But when I was on street my life started to change. I met are man we talked much, was are good man asked me my name my background the man was so touched and told me that we can go together at my home and I accepted. I started to work as house maid at his home I was feed well and I started to go to school again and the man was so kind to me he used to pay me the monthly salary for the work I do of cleaning compound, bathing clothes and other work done at home, but all my maid was still on the children I left at street the life they are passing through I was not happy with it, I kept on thinking in my maid how the life of the children could be saved, but when I completed p.7 I start my small business of sale chapter and I continued my study I joined my s.1 secondary school with the help of my small business and my boss was so supportive on me and I completed secondary school I stopped in s.4 that is my level of education, because my support was not enough to manage me to complete high school. My dream was to be a doctor but my dream was not come successful as I was thinking because of money, but with the help of God am alive, and I started to know more that their many children who in the same life am passing through, my dream came up in starting to help more needy one, the street children, orphaned children and vulnerable children, because me my self I grow up as an orphan, and I was helped by some on to reach were am her now, I started this charity for helping children, it hearts to see kids suffer I ended up opened up are foundation called @helpinghandforhelpless84 am well registered on the district with the CBO, and the community love the work am doing I that this foundation in 2022, with 15 children by now I have 35 children am taking care for in my orphanage home and also I make outreach to the needy children in my community but we still need your hand of help, I can't do it alone our hope goes to almighty God, I thank everyone who has been their for me for the long journey, God bless you.
